National Rural Sales Person

We are seeking someone with proven rural sales experience to be responsible for the sales and marketing of our range of Bunning spreaders across a large part of South-East Australia. This is an exciting agribusiness market to work in. The ideal applicant will be results driven and a self-starter who shows a strong work ethic and is prepared to do regular travel. 

The Company 
Landaco Equipment is a leading Australian owned manufacturer of fertiliser spreaders based in Wagga Wagga. The company prides itself on being a family run Australian owned agricultural manufacturer who provides a high level of service to our customers and who has the confidence in our market to continually invest in the development and growth of our business.     

The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the key duties include:  
  • Responsibility for our range of Bunning spreaders within the designated geographic region.
  • Develop new markets and grow existing markets for the Bunning spreader range.
  • Develop and maintain regular marketing programs for the Bunning spreader range.
  • Regular, ongoing travel visiting potential customers and establishing new markets (you will likely be on the  road three weeks per month with the remaining time preferably spent working in the head office in Wagga  Wagga).
  • Liaise with customers for after sales service and advice.
  • Attendance at field days. 
The successful applicant will possess some or all of the following attributes, skills and qualifications:
  • Experience in similar roles developing and maintaining new markets in large geographic areas.
  • Sales experience in a rural industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Be committed to growing the business through adding value to our customers and delivering a strong and  positive customer service focus.
  • A current car driver’s licence is essential.
  • Have competent computer skills and be proficient using Outlook, Word, Excel and ACT! software.
  • Possess a vibrant, positive attitude with good communication skills and a willingness to roll your sleeves up  to get the job done.
  • A willingness to learn the technical aspects of our range of spreader products.
  • Adherence to the company’s safety protocols.
Remuneration and Conditions
A competitive salary, uncapped commission package, phone and a car will be provided to the successful applicant.    The position offered is a full time role, Monday to Friday with occasional, ad hoc weekend work. Applicants must be  capable of working in a workshop environment.
